Our Story BeginsThe site is going back in time. We are visiting the Clans right at the time of their initial birth. The following is a very short summary of what has occurred up to the point of roleplay. Please read it as well as the rest of the information on this page, especially before joining. Thank you.
Moon and Star. The god and goddess. Together they created the world and all that was in it. Their children were the cats. Their other inventions were man and beast. They created all for good, to live in peace and harmony. But then the Evil One came, and he tainted the newborn world with sins. |

December was a rogue created by Moon and Star. She was abused and mistreated by her mate Austin. Her friend June offered to take care of her, but she knew her mate would only hunt her down and force her to come back to him. After some time, she realized June had been right, and that she should learn to fight back and stand up for herself. Deciding there had to be a better way of living for cats, she left the rogue's territory with June and another friend; March.
Along the way, they met September. She had a group of quiet, mysterious cats under her control and told December and her companions about something she was starting called a Clan. This sprouted the ideas of the four clans: a way to balance power in the forest and not allow bloodthirsty villains like Austin to run rampant and get away with their evil deeds.
The group picked up more cats along the way as they journeyed to find empty territory to establish themselves in. When they found the right place, they diverted into their four designated Clans. The unnamed Clans went their sperate ways. December and her cats went North in the mountains. September and her cats went East to the jungles. June and his Clan went South to the desert. And March with her Clan went West to the open fields.
Austin and his army eventually caught up with the Clans, having taken the departure of December, June, and March as an insult to his honor. The four Clans came together and battled for their independence. Many cats died on both sides. At one point, September was captured and nearly tortured to death. But in the end, the Clans overpowered the rogues, and by order of June, every last rogue of Austin's army was hunted down and slain.
Our story begins: nine moons later. The Clans are growing.

A Matter of Age
This is vitally important!
Your cat may not be exempt from these guidelines!
0-6 moons: your cat must be born from two real cat parents.
7-32 moons: your cat may either be born from real cat parents or created by Star and Moon. If created by Star and Moon, list them as your parents.
33-45 moons: your cat was created by Star and Moon. No exceptions.
No cat may exceed 45 moons until further notice from Ravencrime.

Cat Ages
![Picture](/uploads/1/7/6/0/17608361/1361208200.jpg)
1 Year = 12 months = 12 moons
Cats are of warrior age at 12 moons = 1 year = 15 human years
(so if cats were human, they would be warriors at 15 years old)
Cats are 'old' at 108 moons = 9 years = 56 human years
(people aren't really 'old' until they hit 56 years old)
Cats are expected to retire at 156 moons = 13 years = 72 years old
(they do not HAVE to retire at this age)
A lot of people join their cats at twenty moons and then retire them at fifty.
You HAVE to remember that one moon in the warriors world is NOT equivalent to one year.
So here are the comparisons.
I have actually tried making it my habit to join as forty something moon old warriors, because that would make them roughly about 28-32 years old. They are NOT that old.
So please keep this in mind!
Mythology
In the beginning, there was Moon. Moon was a divine being, a she cat, who loved but had nothing to love.
Not long after Moon, Star was born. An eternal, unceasing being of light. Moon had someone to love. He and Moon became one, and from them, the world came into being.
Their children spread across the face of the world, children in their image but very mortal.
At first all was well.
Then the Evil One came.
A faceless monster who hunted the weak and tainted their souls to evil.
An evil cat murdered a good cat.
Mourning the loss of their kit, Moon and Star brought the cat's soul into the sky. And it burned. It burned bright and hot.
More cats died. The souls joined together and continued to burn.
They chased the darkness away, and the Sun made the day.
The Moon
The Moon is the goddess. A she cat. She and Star had children: the first cats. They also created the world together.
The Star
The Star is the god. A tom cat. He and Moon had children: the first cats. They also created the world together. The actual Star is the North Star, as it is never wavering or ceasing, always transfixed in a single place.
The Sun
The Sun is a world where the good cats go when they die. Forever running and laughing and playing together, the light of their souls keeps the Evil Night at bay.
The Evil One
An ancient, faceless creature who brings Eternal Night, a night of death with no stars or moon or sun. The Evil One is said to roam the world seeking cats to taint with his evil that they might help him bring Eternal Night upon the Earth.
The Eternal Night
A dark and horrifying world where all is screaming, blood, chaos, and fear. It has no true shape or form. Where the evil cats go when they die. It is ruled by the Evil One, who feeds off the torment of their souls and grows stronger from it.
Stars
The stars in the sky are the pawprints of Star as he journeys across the world guiding lost cats.
Lunar Eclipses
Lunar Eclipses are seen as a sign of evil, when the Evil One covers Moon. Cats usually receive prophecies around this time or seek out the god and goddess in their dreams.
Solar Eclipses
Solar Eclipses are also a time of celebration. When the Sun and Moon become united, the dead are reunited with their beloved mother. As they are celebrating, so the Clans also celebrate.
The New Moon
Moon disappears to run across the sky with her beloved Star. At this time, the Clans will usually have a celebration.
